Advanced Applications for X-ray

Providing access to areas of uncertainty, our Advanced Applications for fixed radiography help deliver images that allow radiologists to make diagnostic decisions with confidence.

Advanced applications

Clinicians rely on standard radiography as the first diagnostic test for most chest, orthopedic and trauma cases

However, advanced imaging is often ordered for complex cases that radiography cannot solve. Tapping additional imaging modalities may result in higher radiation exposure, higher costs, and delays in diagnosis and treatment. Our Advanced Applications provide additional information and more conclusive X-rays to help you make care decisions faster with minimal added radiation.

    33%

Of scaphoid fractures are missed on the first X-ray¹

    14%

Of elderly patients with normal X-ray findings in the ER have hip and pelvic fractures revealed at MRI²

    1M

Cases of total joint replacements (hip and knee) annually in the United States3, 4

Key benefits for utilizing Advanced Applications

    Better information

Obtain additional information from your X-ray system that could help make decisions faster

    Minimize radiation

Resolve inconclusive X-rays in the X-ray room with minimal added radiation

    Enhanced care

Optimize the patient experience without needing other advanced imaging techniques

    Augmented imaging

Produce images that a multi-slice CT scanner would create
