    Quality Assurance training provides the Technologist with instruction on the proper centering and alignment of the QA phantom, the test scans to perform and the expected results from scanning.  This training is performed virtually, in a lecture format, with Technologist interaction.  This training encompasses the equipment components, technical factors, scan modes, reconstruction of images, display of images, image quality, and image artifacts.

      By the end of the program Technologists should be able to center and align the QA phantom, and perform the required test and analysis.

      Course Content:  

      • Locate the Technical Reference Manual
      • Locate the QA section and associated form(s)
      • Describe the proper care and handling of the QA phantom
      • Position the phantom for the QA scans
      • Describe the test sections of the phantom
      • List the test that are typically performed in QA
      • Select and scan with the QA protocol
      • List the expected results
      • Document the QA test results

    • Target Audience

      This course is designed for CT Technologist and/or Radiologists.

    • Prerequisites

      • TVA ready GE Advantage Workstation or GE CT scanner with a QA phantom
      • Basic knowledge of Advantage Workstation (preferred)
