The global burden of colorectal cancer (CRC) is expected to increase by 60 percent to more than 2.2 million new cases and 1.1 million deaths by 2030.¹ Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States. While the participation rates in screening are increasing, one quarter of the adults aged 50 to 75 years have never been screened.² The five-year survival rate for colon cancer found at the local stage is 90 percent, highlighting the benefits of early detection.³
