The Patient Channel - For Hospital Staff

Tools for Educators - Hyperlinks/Logos/Artwork

The Patient Channel encourages you to use these tools to help you promote awareness of and quick access to the channel through your web sites and internal TV message system.

Adding hyperlinks on Staff and Patient Web Sites

Provide a text hyperlink to The Patient Channel's home page on your hospital's web site.

Use your external (Internet) web site to let patients, family members, and friends know that you have the channel available for their use at your facility.

Use your internal (Intranet) web site to let all staff know that you have the channel available as a resource for them and to provide quick links to tools, schedules and more.

To provide a text hyperlink, please display the following text: "www.thepatientchannel.com" or "The Patient Channel" and then link to: http://www.thepatientchannel.com

You can also use an image as your hyperlink. See the section on Downloading Logos/Artwork on this page.

Adding Information and Logos/Artwork to Your Internal TV Message System

Patient education, in place of entertainment TV, is important to many hospitals. Some hospitals have even programmed all TV sets in the facility to air only educational programming such as The Patient Channel. And, some others require that patients pay to receive entertainment programming. To promote the channel on your internal TV message system, we recommend the following:

  • Add logos/artwork. See the section on Downloading Logos/Artwork on this page.
  • Add web site URL (www.thepatientchannel.com)
  • Add the channel # on which The Patient Channel airs in your facility.
(Don't know your channel #? Contact your Patient Channel coordinator in your facility. Or contact The Patient Channel by email geeducation@med.ge.com or by calling 877-438-4788.
